The Small Design Studio with Big (Green) Plans
We have a great list of stuff for you to check out this month, and that’s right – Five Finds is a monthly thing now.
We would have had this up much sooner, but Josh (very recently) suffered a hand injury, so it’s been an ordeal (he’s upset because he can’t draw or type very easily at the moment).
But, without further further adeau, here are our Five Finds for the month of June 2012
John Hockenberry is not a designer, but his father was. That’s when he learned that we are all, in fact, designers. To one degree or another, we all understand the importance of design – Hockenberry explains just how important design is. He also has an awesome wheelchair.
For all of you freelancers that freelance part-time and work a day job full-time, this is for you. Sometimes it’s hard to keep the momentum going, and sometimes you really shouldn’t try. Learn all about it here.
A great one from ZenHabits. Learning a new language can open up career opportunities and inspire creativity. Not to mention that simply challenging your mind is healthy. Also, we wrote on a slightly similar topic [intlink id="192" type="post"]here[/intlink].
We’re really not sure what to call this one, but it’s some great inspiration to keep challenging yourself. Just read the strip and enjoy.
If you ever needed a kick in the ass to be something great – watch this documentary. It’s quite captivating.
This plug is a bit of shameless self-promotion. Josh has been working on DrawCore as a side project for quite some time now. After filming, trashing the first copy, then re-building DrawCore from the ground up, it’s just about ready.
The site is up and running, and as soon as his hand is feeling better he’ll be back to filming. Go ahead and sign up for a free account to get updates.
